The OPUR program aims to improve knowledge about the production and transfer of pollutants in urban waters. Its main current research themes are the source control source of urban runoff contamination, the use of alternative resources to feed the city with water, the development of new methods for the monitoring and characterization of contaminants, the integrated modeling of pollutant flows.
The ambition and originality of OPUR is to have created, in Ile-de-France, a field observatory, constituting a unifying experimentation site for the various actors of sanitation in Île-de-France, as well as a national and international reference research platform. It aims to bring together different research teams and sanitation network managers.
